Tigger's Story (Update - Tiggers stomach is doing great. She tosses her
"cookies" about 1ce every few weeks. Hair balls... etc...)
"Here kitty, kitty, kitty"...
Our cat is 15 years old and her name is Tigger. For the past 5 years we've fed Tigger the very best cat food we could find. We
used to feed her Meow Mix cat food as that was her favorite. However, when she was about 10 years old she began to reject that cat food so we
started trying other cat foods. Nothing seemed to work. We tried, IAMS, Science Diet and others.
Finally, a friend of mine suggested, Dynamites dog food. "Dog food??" I asked. Yep, dog food. This company does not produce
kibble for cats, only dogs, so we bought her the dog food and low and behold she stopped throwing up. As time went on I learned about raw food
diets for dogs. So, I decided to try this for Tigger. The problem was Tigger really didn't seem to want any food besides tuna fish.
We took her to a local vet here in Redding, who is very down to earth and believes in a more naturalistic way to pet health.
He recommended a great cat food without any additives, preservatives, etc...
Anyway, this has helped her somewhat. She doesn't throw up everyday anymore. But she is still throwing up a 3 to 4 times. On a
bad week, several times becomes daily. Our vet recommended that we give her a liver cleanse so we tried that. But that made it worse and before I
wanted to try that again, I wanted to see if we could get her stomach in better control using some enzymes.
Well, since learning about Kangen water, I figured, what's good for us, will be good for Tigger, so she's drinking it too.
You may be wondering about her health overall. Our vet took some blood tests and found that she was in pretty good health. Most
likely, she is throwing up because she has an allergy to something in the food. The problem is, we haven't found a "food" that her body doesn't
reject, so that sort of makes it hard to help her out. Tuna seems to be the best food for her, but a diet of Tuna fish is not good for cats as it
damages their liver. I really didn't want to go back to the dog food - just yet.
OHYEEE! What to do, what to do????
At this point, I feel that in time, Tigger will have a balanced kitty body through drinking Kangen water and this problem will
resolve itself. I have researched Kangen water to the point where I am convinced it will help Tigger too.
So, let's see her progress chart...
Today is day 4 for Tigger too. And this morning she threw up. So, nothings happened for Tigger just yet.
What I just realised today is that I have been using a carbon filter in her constant flowing water bowl. Hm... I better take that
out. . . Although I don't think that had anything to do with her throwing up.
Okay, I'm back. I just removed the filter and replaced her water with fresh Kangen water. If you're interested, keep
reading and I'll tell you a little bit more about Tigger's health.
As I said earlier, Tigger is 15 years old. I need to take a picture for you because Tigger does not look like a 15 year old cat.
She's in great health, with the exception of her stomach issues. Her fur is very soft and she shows no sign at all of arthritis. She is a bit of
a klutz though and sometimes when she jumps from her kitty tree she will limp a little.
The reason I feel she is in such good health is because of eating the highest quality pet food. She has been "flea" free all
her life. I have not ever used any type of flea solution, I attribute her lack of a flea farm on her body due to the great dog
food from Dynamite and perhaps her being an inside cat most of her life.
For the most part, Tigger is in good health. If she stops throwing up, she'll be in even better health!
I'll be back in a few days to let you know how she's doing.
April 14th
Tigger threw up again this morning. It was not a lot, neither was it alot yesterday am. She eats quite a bit of kibble and has
not lost weight and the vet said she's in good health so... we are just going to keep giving her Kangen water to see if it helps. I have no idea
if it will or won't, we're just hopeful.
Two Weeks Notice:
Tigger has not thrown up since April 14th. That makes it nine days without a tummy upset - YEAH! Tigger says, "Purr, purr,
purr".
April 26th
Well, Tigger had 12 days of no tummy upsets, but today she threw up. We're hopeful that over time, she'll be able to hold her
stomach contents longer and longer. Her food was not digested, which makes me think that she may be eating too much or too fast. I dunno... but
if she goes another 12 days inbetween tossing her kibbles, that will be an improvement over 4 to 5 times per week.
May 11th (15 days no tummy upset)
May 11th evening
Tigger caughed up a fur ball tonight. Nice totsie roll furry mass. Although she did throw up, since it was a fur ball, I'm
thinking that's how cat bodies are supose to work so I don't think I'm going to consider that a bad thing.
May 14 (18 days free of throwing up - food)
May 20
Tigger threw up today. The past few days I've been giving her 8.5 pH water thinking perhaps 9.5 was too high. I'll watch her
closely over the next few days to try and figure out if I need to have her back up to 9.5.
Overall she is not throwing up more than once every few weeks, with the acception of the hair ball. So, this is good progress. I
am going away this weekend, but when I get back I think I may see about switching her food over to the dog food that she did so well on
before.
July 5th
Well, it's been a few months now and here's an update on Tigger.
Bacically Tigger no longer throws up every week. She still does have upsets, but it seems to only occure about once every 2 to 3
weeks. Our vet says she is very health other than this issue. We know that drinking Kangen water will help keep Tigger in optimum health,
avoiding some the health problems that our pets can get like arthritis and cancer.
We can't prevent death, but drinking Kangen water will offer one of the best natural means of better health that money can
buy.
